Glow in the Dark
Glow in the Dark was a collaborative project involving DRMM Architects. The block was required for the Tower Festival Headland, co-named Tower of Love, a wedding venue, cafe and tourist information point on Blackpool's seafront.
The 'Glow in the Dark' block was developed using the Lignacite concrete block with recycled and phosphorescent glass. This block captures energy from any light source and then gently glows for up to 8 hours. Available in Blue, Red, Green and Yellow.. An example of how this works can be seen in our Lignacite Video.
Re-Cycled Glass - Highly decorative and available in a Polished or Planished finish. Contains 37% recycled material. Durable and suitable for flooring or exposed elevations.
Shell Block - Recycled shells from the shellfish industry are incorporated into our masonry to produce an intriguing and natural looking finish.
Dummy Joint - Each unit incorporates a vertical dummy joint to give the illusion of tiles rather than blockwork. Available in all our surface finishes.
Flint Block - By introducing natural flint into our masonry and then applying a beautiful polish, we have created a completely new product using traditional materials.
